to build billion-dollar campus at Research Triangle Park has been a big deal for the Triangle ever since it was announced. We
can expect to see changes on the site of Apple's future campus at RTP soon– but until then, their presence is already being felt in the Triangle.
Rick Smith with WRAL TechWire helped to break the news of Apple's plans. He also predicted that the tech giant's announcement would bring interest from many other companies.
"Hirings, expansions, grouth," said Smith. "Of course, Apple is a contributor to that."

"We knew that Apple was coming and hoped that something
exciting might come out of that," said John Welch, VP of resource development and marketing for the Boys and Girls Club of Wake County.
Another way Apple could already be life-changing in the Triangle: They've promised to invest millions of dollars in programs around the state, along with their promise to create thousands of jobs.
